On September 3, GeoForum Mexico was held in collaboration with the Mexican Society of Geotechnical Engineering (SMIG). The event brought together industry professionals, researchers, and specialists to share knowledge and experiences, with geosynthetic solutions playing a key role in addressing major infrastructure challenges.
During the event, our colleague Edwin Fernando Ruiz, from ENGECORPS, the Brazilian subsidiary of Grupo TYPSA, presented two notable talks:
- Highest reinforcement strength used to date: challenges and recent experiences in soft soil design.
- Sludge dewatering system using geosynthetics for mining and industrial waste.
Through case studies and experiences with highly complex geotechnical projects, he shared specialized solutions and the main challenges currently facing engineering in this field.
On behalf of MEXTYPSA, members of our Geotechnical Engineering team attended the event to support our coworker and exchange experiences with specialists and colleagues in the sector.
